With the trade from Boston to Brooklyn, Paul Pierce is now that much closer to his biggest rival the New York Knicks. It is no secret that Pierce had a dislike for the Knicks. Recently Pierce said it’s time for Brooklyn to run New York. “I think the hate [for the Knicks] has grown a little. Everybody knows how much I disliked the Knicks when I was with the Celtics, but I think it’s grown to another level,” Pierce said on Thursday. “The only thing that separates the two teams is a bridge. And both of them are in the same division and both of them are considered contenders. You can’t help but say this is probably gonna be the best rivalry in sports next year.” Now all we can do is wait until these two team square off. The Bragging rights will go to the team that wins the games. Right now you have to like the Nets roster compared to the Knicks.   Follow me on twitter @ScottBasketball  http://twitter.com/#!/ScottBasketballAlso like the Roundballchat site on facebook. http://www.facebook...

Celtics Could Benefit From NBA Luxury Tax Loophole in Long-Term Future

Just how bad the Celtics will be this season is subject to debate. The good news for their fans, however, is that the team might not need to remain in a state of mediocrity for very long. Report: Celtics need an assistant coach Rajon Rondo “can relate to”

With Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett departed from the Boston Celtics, the biggest question for the franchise is undoubtedly this: can Rajon Rondo be the leader of a team? Without veterans around to keep the locker room at bay, and a new head coach in Brad Stevens that is approximately 12 years old (okay, okay…he’s 36, but still.), Rondo will be looked upon to be a leader. Paul Pierce glowingly talks about Rajon Rondo as a leader

Is there any athlete in Boston more polarizing than Rajon Rondo? There is a group of people who believe he needs to go basically at any cost. He drove Doc out of town, his teammates don't like him, and he'...
