TEAMS: Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies, Ohio State Buckeyes
The best trades in any professional sport, are transactions that help all teams involved and a deal that I touched upon in an earlier article, just might be a move that could help two franchises in the Association. The deal that I proposed, would send Boston Celtics All-Star forward to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for their talented young forward Rudy Gay.
The trade could help the Grizzlies get to the next level in their quest to reach their first NBA Finals and capture the first Title for the franchise since they entered the Association. For the Celtics, it would give them another talented young athlete, to go along with Rajon Rondo, as the team moves on to the post “New Big Three” era for the squad.
The Grizzlies are a young team that is filled with talented players, such as Marc Gasol in the pivot and Mike Conley manning the point, while O.J. Mayo comes into give the squad a boost off of the bench. Although veteran Zach Randolph has turned his career around since joining Me...

Why KG’s retirement decision may determine the future of Paul Pierce
We’re only a few days removed from the Celtics playoff elimination in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but the rumors surrounding the future of the Big 3 are already running wild. We told you earlier that Ray Allen‘s return to the Celtics is looking even less likely after it was reported that he had “friction” with Rajon Rondo, and now early reports indicate Kevin...
Paul Pierce Hopes Kevin Garnett Sticks Around, Says He's 'Done Everything for My Career'
Kevin Garnett's biggest fan might be in the same locker room. As we get set for an interesting offseason that involves figuring out the futures of Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, we at least know exactly where Pierce stands on everything. The longtime Celtic made it clear after Saturday's Game 7 loss to the Heat that he wants another crack at a title with the Big Three...
Bucher trade idea: Pierce for Gasol
Ric Bucher was on Dennis and Callahan this morning. Bucher called himself a "big fan" of Jeff Green. It's uncertain whether Jeff Green will be willing to sign with the Celtics to come off the bench. In order to free up a starting spot for Green, Bucher floated the idea of a Paul Pierce for Pau Gasol trade, which he claims several GM's have said they'd...
Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce Look Old, Tired in Finale, Meaning Bodies May Keep Them From What Hearts Want
Kevin Garnett has had injuries that have kept the Celtics from chasing titles. Paul Pierce has left a game in a wheelchair. Ray Allen redefined "hobbling" in the way he was moving around on the court at the end of this season and into the playoffs. But when the Big 3 of the Celtics took the floor most nights, they still looked like basketball players, like contenders, like...
Game 7 from Pre-game to Post-game
Garnett and Pierce checking out of the game with seconds to go
7:41- Welcome back to my living room! The last time we were here (semi)live, the Celtics pulled out a Game 5 victory in Miami and took a 3-2 series lead. Since then, Lebron James tapped into the dark side of the force, the Celtics got blown out at home, and we’re back here in Miami for a Game 7 with so much at stake...
Tay’s Bloody 10: Top 10 Moments for the Big 3 in Boston
Tay’s Bloody 10 has been in hibernation mode lately but I had to make a list for this. Last night the Boston Celtics lost Game 7 in Miami, in which could be the last game Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett ever play together. If I was Danny Ainge, I’d bring them all back and surround them with a nice supporting cast for one more shot at it, but that’s another blog for...
Boston Celtics: The End of the Pierce, Garnett, Allen Era
I was born in Massachusetts towards the end of the Larry Bird era. Never saw him play live. Only stepped inside of the old Boston Garden one time and it was to see Disney on Ice. There wasn't much of a reason for me to be a Boston Celtics fan. My dad was, so I was. The team didn't give me much of reason.
The deterioration of Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parrish...

Vote: What Will Kevin Garnett Be Doing Next Season?
The Celtics' defeat in the Eastern Conference Finals brought not only the end of the season but also many questions of what will happen to the current team. Five Damn Good Years
It wasn’t that long ago when Danny Ainge brought in Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to join Paul Pierce, leading the Celtics to their first NBA Championship in 22 years. That season was as fun as they come, and the rest of the four years wasn’t four behind. That trio might have played its last game together, so take a look at this video and remember that first championship run.
