Despite blowing a double digit lead in the fourth the Pistons held on to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 96-94 Sunday night from The Palace.
Perhaps still on a high from Friday night’s victory over the world champion Miami Heat, Detroit had had to rely on two late free throws by Tayshaun Prince to seal the victory, the Pistons’ fourth in the last five games.
Closing out games has been an issue for the Pistons all season and tonight was no exception as Detroit led the entire game until the Bucks went on an 11-0 run as they took the lead 94-92 late in the fourth. However it was a one-handed floater in the paint from Tayshaun Prince and eventually the two made free throw attempts that sunk the Bucks once and for all.
Currently the Pistons are on their best streak of interior scoring netting 60 points in the paint Sunday night and 56 in Friday’s win over the Heat.
