I'm a Pistons fan, so anyone that likes the Pistons, please don't get irate with me. I wasn't supportive of the A.I. trade but I knew there were issues in the locker room so I decided to keep quiet and see how everything settled down. I'm not one to blame a coach for the ills of the team, but there are issues with coaching when your team consistently falls apart in the 4th quarter. Last night, I only watched the 2nd half of the game. I was tempted not to watch at all because they usually upset me by doing stupid things in the 4th quarter and they didn't let me down last night. With a 2 point lead, Rasheed takes a fade away jumper, D Rose goes the length of the floor right to the rim, gets a layup blocked by Sheed (which was good that he stayed with the play), got his own rebound, then kicks it out to a wide open Ben Gordon (he's a shooter...hello) who hits the 3 to take the lead and is fouled by an out of control Rodney Stuckey. After the free throw is good, the Pistons take a timeout to draw up a play which results in a turnover and basically that's the game folks. This is supposed to be a veteran team (at least the lineup that the coach seems to favor is) so they should know how to win games in the final seconds. I would've been happier if they would've taken a three and tried to win it all and go home instead of the drive to the basket by Rip (Rip??) and the pass out of bounds intended for McDyess. I hope in the offseason they just scrap the "veterans" on this team and decide to rebuild. I'd rather watch a young team lose some games on the road to getting better than watch these guys toward the end of their careers trying to see if they still got it. Keep Dyess for leadership off the bench, you can even keep Rip. Sheed needs to go and let A.I. go too. Get an experienced coach (Avery Johnson would be nice) that has more than 2 people in motion on offense and get ready to rebuild.
