Pistons Signing Bojan Bogdanovic to Contract Extension
Tom Horak-USA TODAY Sports

The Pistons are signing small forward Bojan Bogdanovic to a two-year, $39.1 million contract extension, Wasserman agency reps told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Bogdanovic, 33, was acquired by the Pistons in a trade with the Jazz before the season, and was entering the final year of his deal for $19.5 million. Through the first six games with Detroit, he has compiled averages of 23.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 52 percent shooting.

GM Troy Weaver made it clear the Pistons indented to sign Bogdanovic to an extension following the trade with Utah.

Along with the Pistons and Jazz, Bogdanovic has spent time with the Nets, Wizards and Pacers. He was originally drafted by the Heat with the No. 31 overall pick in 2011, his rights promptly traded to the Timberwolves for guard Norris Cole.

The Timberwolves then traded his rights to the Nets for a second-round pick that eventually turned out to be guard Lorenzo Brown. Bogdanovic arrived in the NBA in 2014 and promptly made the All-Rookie team.
