Found April 12, 2013 on The Majors Detroit:
For the first time since January 4th, the Pistons have put together a winning streak beyond two games. In their second to last home game of the season the Pistons extended their winning streak to three games after a 113-93 win over the Charlotte Bobcats. Four of the five Pistons starters scored in double figures as Brandon Knight was good for 19 points and 7 rebounds in the winning effort. Meanwhile despite missing some time due to injury Andre Drummond continues to impress producing on both ends of the court with his 15 points and 9 rebounds. The Pistons rookie however did suffer an ankle injury with initial reports stating that he would be day-to-day. Drummond however mentioned after the game that he plans on playing in the teams home finale Monday night. Sprained right ankle for Andre Drummond. Day-to-day #Pistons — Ryan Field (@RyanFieldFSD) April 13, 2013 Drummond said in the locker room after the game that he’s fine and should play Monday night — Jennifer Hammond (@HammerFox2...

Andre Drummond Dominates as Detroit Pistons Win in Cleveland: Video

Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe combined for 52 points and 19 rebounds on Wednesday night in a 111-104 Detroit Pistons win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, offering a glimmer of hope for the future in what’s become a lost season. Drummond contributed a career-high 29 points and 11 boards on his own, even hitting 9-of-17 free throws as the Cavs employed the intentional foul strategy...

Man named Kim sings 'A Boy Named Sue'

A man named Kim English singing about a boy named Sue? It happened in Minneapolis, while the former University of Missouri guard was with his Detroit Pistons teammates at a place called Hell's Kitchen. English took the microphone, then stole the show with the Johnny Cash classic even if he had to read the lyrics off his cell phone. Click HERE to watch. There was at least...

Three Ball: Unfortunately, Detroit Pistons Catching Fire at Most Inopportune Time Once Again

It’s becoming an April tradition unlike any other. No, not just the Masters; the Detroit Pistons winning meaningless basketball games and compromising their draft standing. The Pistons won again on Friday night, pounding the hopeless Charlotte Bobcats 113-93, fighting off another team they’re competing with in the draft lottery and putting their pick status in jeopardy. A 28...

Pistons pull past Walker, Bobcats

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Jonas Jerebko helped turn the game around in the second quarter, and Will Bynum took over in the fourth. Those two backups -- call them role players if you must -- gave the Detroit Pistons quite a lift. "Especially when you're a young player, that word role' sometimes can be a curse word," Pistons coach Lawrence Frank said. "When you...

Cavaliers fail to execute down the stretch, fall to Pistons

A day after the Cavaliers blew a fourth quarter 20 point lead to the Pacers (then 48-29), the Cavs returned home to take on the 26-52 Detroit Pistons. The Cavs had lost five straight games to the Pistons, including all three match-ups this season. Not to spoil the surprise, but they didn’t get the job done on Wednesday either. Coming out of the first half down 4 points, the Cavaliers...

Detroit Pistons get 3rd straight win

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan– The Detroit Pistons and the Charlotte Bobcats matched up at the Palace on Friday night looking to find any positives. Detroit would use a balanced attack to rout the Bobcats. Brandon Knight started out on fire. Knight had eight of Detroit’s first 10 points. Kemba Walker put Charlotte up 14-10, but Rodney [...]

Pistons 113, Bobcats 93

Jonas Jerebko scored 17 of his 21 points in the first half, and the Detroit Pistons routed the Charlotte Bobcats 113-93 on Friday night behind terrific outside shooting. Detroit went 12 of 18 from 3-point range, with Brandon Knight making all three of his attempts. Knight scored 19 points. Kemba Walker scored 24 in the first half for the Bobcats but finished with only 28. Will...

Pistons rout Bobcats for third straight win

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Jonas Jerebko scored 17 of his 21 points in the first half, and the Detroit Pistons routed the Charlotte Bobcats 113-93 on Friday night behind terrific outside shooting. Detroit went 12 of 18 from 3-point range, with Brandon Knight making all three of his attempts. Knight scored 19 points. Kemba Walker scored 24 in the first half for the Bobcats but finished...

Bobcats-Pistons Preview

It may not seem like much, but earning a third straight victory would be a major stride for a Detroit Pistons team concluding another disappointing season. The Charlotte Bobcats are hoping to salvage some pride as well. Detroit seeks an eighth victory in nine meetings with Charlotte, which looks to avoid a franchise-record 14th consecutive road loss in its final game away from...

Only four games remaining after Pistons steal one from Cavs

The Cleveland Cavaliers could use some additional help defending the basket. That was my prevailing thought throughout the evening as Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond combined for 52 points in the Pistons win over the Cavs on Wednesday. This became abundantly clear when the young Twin Towers from Detroit stepped onto the court, too, hours before a Hack-a-Drummond strategy was...
