The Detroit Pistons just destroyed the Philadelphia 76ers, a team that opened the season with three straight wins, including a win over the defending champion Miami Heat. The game was really never even close, as Andre Drummond led the charge with 31 points, 19 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks, a feat that hasn’t been accomplished in 23 years. He’s 20 years old.
Thanks to the Instagram account of Charlie Villanueva, we learn that the creative team for the Detroit Pistons have created a rather amusing video for fans to wish them, “Happy Holidays”.

This is Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings fifth NBA season, but this is his first with Detroit. His head coach, Maurice Cheeks was a hearelded point guard during his time in the NBA. When it comes to playing, Cheeks thinks that Jennings is still learning the position.
“It takes a certain amount of time for a guy to do that,” said Jennings’ coach, Mo Cheeks. “He’s...
The Detroit Pistons needed a big day. Coming off depressing losses to the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers will do that to you. The young Philadelphia 76ers proved to be the remedy for Detroit’s woes.
The Pistons went up 13-2 after an Andre Drummond layup, a Kentavious Caldwell-Pope triple and dunk, and triples by Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith. Caldwell-Pope hit another...
Andre Drummond had 31 points, 19 rebounds and six steals as the Detroit Pistons beat the Philadelphia 76ers 115-100 Sunday.
Drummond was limited to 34 minutes, but he still became the first player to have at least 31 points, 19 rebounds and six steals in a game since Hakeem Olajuwon in 1990. He set career highs in all three categories, two days after Maurice Cheeks left him on the...
Andre Drummond has had a truly breakout season in his sophomore year in the NBA. The center is averaging 13.1 points and 12.2 rebounds per game next to Greg Monroe in the lineup. Recently Pistons coach Maurice Cheeks even said he did not realize Drummond would be this good when he took the job (h/t Matt Watson of Detroit Bad Boys).
Drummond though has one skill haunting him in...

Andre Drummond sat for a majority of the second half during Detroit’s Friday night letdown against the Lakers. He more than made up for it Sunday afternoon in a win over the 76ers.
Drummond dominated throughout, despite hitting just 7-of-18 free throws and being pulled briefly as Philadelphia employed a strategy of sending him to the line. He finished with 31 points, 19 rebounds...

To say the least, Dennis Rodman was a character. Following his Detroit Pistons’ days, he started dying his hair all sorts of different colors. Upon arriving in San Antonio in 1993 as a member of the Spurs, he showed up with a blond Mohawk. He painted his nails, dressed in drag, and partied into the wee hours of the morning on the nights before games. Nowadays, people see him on...
I’ll bet you that Joe Dumars had no clue he was trading for a member of Boyz II Men when he shipped Brandon Knight and Khris Middleton to Milwaukee for Brandon Jennings.
Jennings donned some spiffy eyewear following the Pistons 115-110 win over the 76ers Sunday. It is ironic that he wore them when the team from Motown played the team from Philly? Motownphilly – you...
As previously noted on That NBA Lottery Pick, we love poster dunks and during tonight’s match-up between the Miami Heat/Detroit Pistons, we had a pretty impressive one.
In the first quarter of play, watch as Pistons star Josh Smith rises for a big dunk over Chris Bosh and puts CB1 on a poster:

During the first quarter of the Heat-Pistons game, Josh Smith threw down a big transition dunk on Chris Bosh. The whole first quarter was fantastic for the Pistons as they ended it having a ten-point lead over the defending champions.
