The Charlotte Bobcats are finally ready to turn their lottery pick Point Guard, Kemba Walker, loose on the league, only they’ll be starting him at the 2 guard spot. Much in same as the Golden State Warriors have done for the past couple years, the Bobcats are preparing themselves to go small, filling both guard spots with undersized distributors.
While I agree that Walker needs to see time on the court, much more then he has thus far, and also that D.J. Augustin is too good to merely be benched in favor of the rookie, I have my doubts in the two Point Guard system. Just as I believe that the Warriors need to make a decision and trade either Ellis or Curry for a different piece to the puzzle, the same is true for the Bobcats. The point guard position is deeper then it ever has been in many years, but there are still teams out there who desperately need that position filled. The Lakers for instance, being an obvious one.
Teams like Charlotte and Golden State should be looking around ...

Bobcats Insider: Terrible third quarters
There's something about the third quarter that becomes the Bobcats' undoing this season.
They often emerge from halftime listless and careless and tend to sacrifice leads or amplify deficits. The numerical difference isn't big -- the Bobcats average about 3.4 fewer points in the third than their collective opponents -- but the players say this has been the problem area...
A Dim Light For The Bobcats
A year ago, Kemba Walker was preparing for a major conference battle against No. 7 Villanova. Connecticut was 15-2 and the eight-ranked team in the country. He was battling with his teammates on Connecticut for a chance to win the Big East, something the team would do in a memorable run to the conference title, and eventually a national championship.
Walker scored 24 points, grabbed...

It took about a dozen games, but rookie Bismack Biyombo offered evidence to Charlotte Bobcats fans Tuesday why he was the seventh overall pick in the NBA draft.

The Bobcats led 94-93 with less than two minutes to play, but the Cavaliers closed out the game by scoring the final nine points, getting a pair of key inside baskets from Anderson Varejao, who finished with 14 points and...
The Passion of the Blogcat
The MLK day loss against Cleveland is my early-season favorite for Most Infuriating Bobcats Loss of the Year. Any game in which Charlotte blows a second-half double-digit lead is going to be a contender for the prize. However, considering this team, there are probably going to be several candidates for this award before the season’s [...]

Charlotte Loses Another Heartbreaker
A desparate Tyrus Thomas kisses the ball for luck - all bad.For the first time this season I was able to tune in to the game today early enough to catch the pre-game show. I should have skipped it.
