When the Detroit Pistons traded Chauncey Billups last season, it was with the idea that Rodney Stuckey was the point guard they were going to hitch their wagon to for the next several years.
It was expected that Stuckey would become a star. It didn't happen at the end of last season, which was his second out of Eastern Washington. But Stuckey has taken it to the Mavericks in the second quarter.
He's posted up J.J. Barea, made sjump shots and pretty much dominated with 13 points in the quarter. So far. There's still nearly three minutes left before halftime.
Stuckey appears to be the real deal and for the Pistons' sake, he needs to have a breakout season this year.
