The Cavaliers are getting into a nasty habit of turning close games into what feel like routes. And so far this season, they have yet to be on the winning end. The latest example took place Sunday night in Philadelphia where the Cavs dropped an 86-79 decision to the 76ers. The Cavs (2-8) have lost six straight. That hurts, regardless of age, gender or level of basketball. Especially when youre talking about being only 10 games in. As has been the case most of this early season, the young Cavs just failed to make the big pass, get the big basket or make the big defensive stand when all were needed most. The Cavs shot a paltry 36 percent for the game, and Kyrie Irving scored a season-low nine points. Dion Waiters added just five -- adding up to 14 points for a starting backcourt that averages 39 a game. Over his past three games, Waiters is 9-for-45 from the field. Alonzo Gee paced the Cavs with 17 points. Anderson Varejao added 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Tristan Thompson had 14 and 13, respectively. Former No. 2 overall draft pick Evan Turner (Ohio State) led the Sixers with 19 points on 8-for-12 shooting. Cavs reserve guard Daniel Gibson missed the game with a stiff elbow. More to come on the game from FOX Sports Ohio a little later.
