Tony Parker, who recently missed about three weeks with an ankle sprain, was pulled from Thursday’s game against the Thunder early in the fourth quarter due to an unidentified leg injury. Gregg Popovich thinks Parker has tendinitis in his shin and is very concerned about his All-Star point guard. After learning Manu Ginobili would miss three-to-four weeks with a hamstring injury, another major injury to the team’s big 3 would be detrimental to the top-seeded Spurs heading into the postseason.
According to Jeff Caplan, NBA.com:
“I’m really concerned about Tony right now after seeing his situation tonight where he just had to stop,” Popovich said. “My feeling is tendinitis, something in his shins or whatever, from the way it looked on the court. But I don’t know.
