Lost in the incredible depth of the Western Conference is the Portland Trailblazers, who just so happen to have one of the best young cores in the NBA, yet nobody is talking about them. They are headlined by a fantastic three-man core of, LaMarcus Aldridge, Nicolas Batum and Damian Lillard, who just happens to be the favorite for Rookie of the Year. The Blazers also have two elite role players, in Wesley Matthews and JJ Hickson and two other gifted rookies, in Meyers Leonard (11th Overall Pick) and Will Barton (40th Overall Pick). They are playing better than anyone expected and currently hold the 8th seed in the Western Conference, which is amazing considering their collapse last year. The Trailblazers are one of the youngest teams in the league, as every player mentioned is 27 years old or younger. The team is led by All-Star, LaMarcus Aldridge, who is currently the highest scoring big man in the NBA, at over 20 points per game and seventh overall in the NBA. He is one of the mo...
