Somethin’ must’ve gotten into Carmelo last night, because I think this is probably the best dunk he’s thrown down since becoming a Knickerbocker. Melo has never been what I’d consider a “high flyer,” but he used to drive hard and finish with fury back in his early Nugget days. Now? Very rarely does he even bother to snap the rim. It’s a shame, ’cause he was a filthy power dunker. Ask Theo Ratliff.
Anthony on Anthony violence! It’s the NBA Playoffs, where not even distant, Canadian relatives are safe.

Amare’s fire extinguisher attack gets the Office Space treatment
That’s Amare!
So far there has been no actual footage released of Amare Stoudemire’s infamous attack on the American Airlines Arena’s fire extinguisher, so this footage will have to do. Enjoy this classic Office Space clip of Michael Bolton attacking the printer, but with Amare’s head superimposed on the attacker and a fire extinguisher replacing the printer. Carmelo...
NBA Playoffs: How Much Trouble Are The Knicks In?
There is no doubt in my mind that Amar’e Stoudemire is the most frustrated basketball player in the entire NBA. He has battled injuries, the loss of his brother, on-court struggles, and now a hand injury that he busted open last night after New York‘s loss to Miami in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
A little over a year ago Stoudemire left The Desert for the Concrete Jungle...

Amar'e Stoudamire Saves Blogfrica
There really is a book, or a Lifetime movie, or some other melodramatic experience, waiting to be told about these New York Knicks. Tonight in Miami, Team Telenovela lost by 10 to the Heat, then punctuated the experience with Dumas (consonants dropped at the behest of my advertisers) big man Amar'e Stoudamire decided to show his displeasure by, I am not making this up, punching...
STAT Loses His Cool as Knicks Lose Game Two
The Knicks headed into game two of its first-round playoff series against the Heat minus the injured Iman Shumpert, but plus a relatively healthy Tyson Chandler. How this would ultimately translate on the court was unknown, but one thing was certain; things couldn't get much worse than the 33 point loss the Knicks suffered to open up the series. With Chandler rising above his flu...
Heat 104, Knicks 94
MIAMI -- No blowout this time by the Miami Heat, just Big Three efficiency. With Dwyane Wade scoring 25 points, Chris Bosh 21 and LeBron James 19, the Heat were able to overcome 30 points from Carmelo Anthony in a 104-94 victory over the New York Knicks Monday night at AmericanAirlines Arena. The victory gave the Heat a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series that continues with...
New York Knicks PF Amar’e Stoudemire strikes glass, doubtful for Game 3
In one of the more notable outbursts at the American Airlines Arena, New York Knicks PF Amar’e Stoudemire decided the best way to take out his anger would be to punch the glass casing on a fire extinguisher. This is the first notable act of player vandalism in Miami since the 2006 NBA Finals in which Dallas Mavericks PF Dirk Nowitzki punted a basketball and sweep-kicked...
Stoudemire will miss remainder of playoff series
New York Knicks forward-center Amar'e Stoudemire will reportedly miss the rest of the Knicks first round series with the Miami Heat after punching a fire extinguisher in the hallway of American Airlines Arena and severly cutting his hand after the Heat's Game 2 victory 104-94.
Stoudemire scored 18 points with 7 rebounds in Game 2. After the game Stoudemire punched the...
Starting 5: Holding home court, regaining composure & Amar'e's apology
Every morning, we'll give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day.
1: Holding home court
Oklahoma City and Miami both did what they had to do: hold home court and take 2-0 series leads. OKC dispatched Dallas with a flurry of incredible individual play and tough D down the stretch. Granted, the Thunder's weakness continues to be an over-reliance...
