Kenyon

Sorry, but Blake Griffin’s buzzer-beating dunk that capped off the second quarter wasn’t that great (the play was excellent, but the actual dunk was routine), and calling it the POTD would require me to be extremely flexible with my definition of “poster.”  So, Kenyon Martin, who legitimately caught Marreese Speights with a driving, one-handed jam, wins.

In a perfect world, Kenyon Martin would have a 40-inch vertical forever.  He’d stay crazy, too.

Clippers have premier game-closer in Paul

LOS ANGELES--Prior to the beginning of the Clippers-Grizzlies playoff matchup, no one was talking about the possibility of it being the best first round series played, or that Chris Paul may be stepping into a pantheon reserved for just a few NBA stars. Turns out everyone should have been shouting about it. Los Angeles once again showed a resolve not always apparent during the...

Chris Paul Is The Best Guard On The Planet

Tonight in LA, Chris Paul did what he does in the playoffs: put a clearly inferior team on his back and dragged them to victory. And in the process, he cemented his status as the best point in the world, the best guard in Los Angeles, and the most compelling player in the playoffs. How good was CP3? He was the Clipper offense in the fourth quarter and overtime, when the team's...

Blake Griffin’s crazy steal and dunk before the buzzer

The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 87-86, the difference a great play by Blake Griffin to end the 2nd quarter. With the Clippers leading by 2 with 2.3 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter the Grizzlies were taking the ball out underneath the basket. At worst Memphis would go into halftime only down by 2 points, but Griffin had other ideas...

Paul directs Clippers to close win over Grizzlies

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- If the Los Angeles Clippers hadn't been so inept at the free throw line, Rudy Gay's last-second shot wouldn't have mattered. Chris Paul had 24 points and 11 assists and high-flying Blake Griffin added 17 points for the Clippers, who beat the Memphis Grizzles 87-86 Saturday only after Gay missed a 3-pointer just before the buzzer. "That's...

LOS ANGELES The Memphis Grizzlies came into their first round playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers with a definite physical advantage.
