Practice? We talkin' about practice?

With Allen Iverson looking like he could be rejoining the Philadelphia 76ers soon, the Mavericks were asked if Iverson would have ever been a consideration for them. There was the diplomatic answer from coach Rick Carlisle: "It's a non-starter concept and topic for us because we have 15 guys. So it wouldn't even come up unless there was a trade. And how do you trade for a free-agent?'' And then there was owner Mark Cuban, who was somewhat less refined. "AI? We talking AI?'' Cuban said. "We're not talking Mavericks here. We're talking AI.'' That of course was a reference to Iverson's famous commentary on sitting out practices under Larry Brown. --Eddie Sefko
