Posted in TextWith our current Knicks out after the minimum of four playoff games, I would like to give some credit to some of our former players for their play during these playoffs. On November 21, 2008, Donnie Walsh, in separate deals, traded away perhaps the two biggest stars on the Knicks.  Jamal Crawford was sent to Golden State for Al Harrington.  Zach Randolph was dealt with Mardy Collins for Cuttino Mobley (who never played in NY) and Tim Thomas.  To this day in these playoffs, both players, neither of which could ever shake the image of being losing players (whatever that means…), have guided their respective teams to the second round in impressive fashion. In what I thought was a surprising upset, Jamal Crawford paced the Hawks offensively in the first round scoring 20 ppg and shooting a blistering 46% from behind the arc against the Magic.  Crawford was fantastic in the opening series for Atlanta, especially when it came to hitting clutch, momentum shifting shots. ...
