Breaking news in the world of basketball, Quentin Richardson has been traded. Yes folks, again.
He will make $9 million next season with the Miami heat after a high-profile swap with under-preforming center Mark Blount. God knows he'll need it, moving home four times in the past two months is not cheap.
Richardson spent the last four seasons with the New York Knicks and has now been traded four times in less than two months: to Memphis on draft night, then to the Los Angeles Clippers, then to Minnesota and now to Miami.
Evaluating the deal, it is a no-brainer.
Miami clearly receive more than what they released, acquiring a prolific perimeter player with a deft three point stroke. Before the trade the Heat had four centers on the roster, Blount easily the most expendable out of the group.
And its nice to see Miami finally making a move this off season in their—futile—bid to coax Wade to remain with the franchise next summer.
