Gregg Popovich is prejudiced against bad rappers and people who heckle him. That is the claim by Freezy, manager for rap artist Flo Rida, in a radio interview prior to Game 6 on Tuesday. Freezy and his Miami-based client have been banned from the last two games of the NBA Finals, the manager said, in what he declared was “an act of discrimination.” “This is an act of discrimination,” Freezy said on the Hochman and Zaslow Show on 790 The Ticket. “I am not an outside celebrity. I am a local fan and I’m gonna get emotional watching my team play.” Popovich is uncomfortable with how passionate Freezy and Flo Rida are about supporting their Heat, in this version of things, something that would make them a rarity among Heat fans. Freezy and Flo Rida were allegedly told they would be arrested if they tried to attend Game 6. They were not given a reason, Freezy said, but he believes Popovich had something to do with it. “They were just telling me we had too much energy and the head coach complained about it,” Freezy said. “Them cats want an easy win. They ain’t used to that Miami Heat support right next to them in their ears. The Spurs are just scared. They’re scared of the energy. The Spurs don’t want that building to erupt around them.” Freezy and Flo Rida, being the good Samaritans they are and not wanting to create any unnecessary controversy, voluntarily watched Game 6 on TV and plan to do the same for Game 7. Meanwhile, that big meanie, Popovich, will continue to enjoy his courtside seat, just because he happens to be a coach. Listen to Freezy’s interview below.
