Rudy Gay saw his shooting numbers steadily decline in the last few years so the Raptors small forward got laser eye surgery to correct his vision. Gay didn’t feel comfortable with prescription goggles or contact lens while playing but finally decided at the end of last season to do something about his vision. While some might cringe at the thought of eye surgery Gay joked about it Tuesday when asked on Twitter. “@WOrd2YOmOtha_23: @rudygay22 how’s the eye surgery? I never knew you were almost blind” me neither lol Raptors coach Dwane Casey is hoping the surgery pays off. “If you look at his career (his shooting percentage) has steadily gone down” Casey told Sporting News last week. “He has complained about his eyes he tried to wear goggles and that didn’t work. He is supposed to be wearing contacts and he didn’t like the contacts he didn’t like having anything on his eyes. So they elected to do the surgery. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
