The Toronto Raptors have signed their first Canadian player in the franchise’s 16-year history, inking veteran forward Jamaal Magloire Friday.
Magloire, who played with the Miami Heat last season, is a native of Toronto. He’s averaged 7.5 points and 6.6 rebounds during his 11-year NBA career, playing for the Hornets, Bucks, Trail Blazers, Nets, Mavericks, and Heat.
An all-star selection in 2003-04, Magloire scored 1.9 points in just under nine minutes per game with the Heat last season.
