Rasheed Wallace, the man who just came out of retirement to play with the New York Knicks, reportedly wants to be an NBA coach after he retires again, according to an article by Eric Adelson on Yahoo! Sports. Despite the on-court temper tantrums that he has been notorious for in his career, I think he would be a pretty good coach.
Sheed has been around long enough to understand the game, but I think he understands it more than we might think. The media has seemed to always portray him as a hot head who always gets technical fouls, but his knowledge of the game is incredible. Wallace actually spends most of his time instructing and teaching his teammates. Obviously the great teaching factor and the willingness of guys to listen to you really, really helps in being a great coach.
Wallace had a few things that he enjoyed about his retirement, but an NBA coach wouldn’t be able to enjoy those same things. Being an NBA coach pretty much requires year-round work. Do you think that he woul...

Knicks Getting a Boost From Their Bench In Form of Defense
Often times, NBA teams like to fill their bench out with players who can score in bunches. Such an offensive boost is necessary when sitting down a team's top scorers. And over the years, the NBA's top scorer from a second unit has been continuously recognized as the league's "Sixth Man of the Year."In the early goings of the season, this NBA campaign isn'...

NEW YORK -- The New York Knicks responded to their first loss of the season by more closely resembling the team that started the season unbeaten after six games. Celtkicks: Inside Sneaker Con New York
I love sneakers, and I’ve been called a sneaker-head, but I learned this past weekend that I’m nowhere near the sneaker-head that has come to define the recent explosion in sneaker collecting.
I am to true sneaker-heads what the occasional pot smoker is to Charlie Sheen. I love my kicks, and I can’t resist impulse purchases when I see something I like. But I wear my sneakers...
Starting 5: Perfect no more
Every morning, we will give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day.
1: Knicks go down
New York was not going 82-0. That is virtually impossible with the way the NBA schedule is constructed. Going 6-0 was surprise in itself for a team that seemingly lacked offensive fluidity and was nominally good at defense, but hardly elite.
In the first weeks of...
