When Nets sharpshooter Anthony Morrow began to compete in the 3-point shooting contest during All-Star weekend. Anthony paid homage to another New Jersey marksman who came years before him…Drazen Petrovic.
Watching Morrow rock the old school blue road uniform, brought back a lot of great memories of the 6-5 guard, who could light it up any moment. Now, for all of you younger Nets fans. Drazen was more than just a shooter, he had a silky smooth game that amazed many American basketball fans especially at the time when European players we’re being criticized for being too soft or too slow.
Petro broke that mold displaying toughness, passion and knowledge on the court. I remember watching Drazen play against the original Dream Team in the 1992 Olympics. When he battled it out with Michael Jordan in Chicago during a game against the Bulls. But, the BEST known memory of Petro is when he hit a big shot to get the Nets into the playoffs for the first time in seven seasons in 1993. Watchin...

Comments from the other side - Nets 3/2
Good stuff from the Nets fans. Love how they start out predicting a blowout win for the Nets and then hating on their team at the end of the "genocide." Also love how they complain about Pierce whining and then proceeded to fill up about 10 thread pages of whining about the refs. And also from how bad Rondo's jumper is to how he was killing them with it....
Gerald Green Learning From Past Mistakes, Rivers Sees More Maturity
Gerald Green returned to Boston on Friday during the middle of a 10-day contract with the Nets.
Stop The Hate on Hump….Nets!
Now, let’s be honest! Most basketball fans didn’t know Kris Humphries until his highly-publicized, short-lived marriage to Kim Kardashian. So, as he quickly became the most HATED player in the NBA.
I found the boos from opposing crowds funny, then as it began to sink deeper into my head. I realized that a lot of misguided fans don’t understand the value of what a player like...
Nets now count on Lopez
It was late in the third quarter, and Brook Lopez grabbed an offensive rebound, went back up and scored for the Nets. On the ensuing possession, he hit a turnaround 10-footer, was fouled and converted the three-point play as the Nets refused to let Dallas pull away.
Anthony Morrow remembers...

Season high in team assists propels Celtics convincingly over Nets, 107-94
Carrying over the winning attitude, against losing teams, has really helped the Celtics regain a record above .500 with a 107-94 win over the New Jersey Nets. Boston had a season high of 35 assists as they rolled over New Jersey easily led by the Rondo, Garnett and Pierce. It appears as though the trade rumors have fueled the fire in the Celtics belly as they continue...
Enemy Chatter: Celtics press unraveled the Nets
I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from New Jersey.
Defining moment: The second quarter, when the Celtics’ full-court press unraveled the Nets completely. New Jersey couldn’t get the ball up court without serious issue and turned the ball...
Nets-Bobcats Preview
An inability to string together wins continues to frustrate the New Jersey Nets. A visit to Charlotte could help them begin a run in a positive direction.
The Nets look to bounce back from their latest defeat and hand the lowly Bobcats an eighth consecutive home loss Sunday night.
New Jersey (11-26) has alternated wins and losses over its last six contests following a season-high...
