The 1993-1994 Milwaukee Bucks were historic.  They were the worst team with only 20 wins in the last 20 years of this mediocre (at best) franchise.   That’s 62 losses folks. It was at the epicenter of my fandom of all things sports.  Still living in the dorms with plenty of free time.  I remember these Bucks very well. Mike Dunleavy was the coach and trying to bring life to a dead franchise.  Oh my God…NOTHING CHANGES! Here’s the roster that got significant minutes, we won’t discuss the Anthony Avent’s of the world. Your starting center was the drunken Vin Baker in his rookie year.  He was small at 6-11 and 232 and turned into a power forward that could really chuck up turn around jumpers from the post and little more. Jon Barry, Frank BricKowski, Greg Foster, Brad Lohaus, Danny Schayes were your all white hussle team. *** The Bucks had BIG salary problems *** What in the hell? 1 Frank Brickowski $1,850,000 2 Danny Schayes $1,750,000 3 Todd Day $1,723,000 4 Orlando Woolridge $1,542,000 5 Ken Norman $1,510,000 6 Blue Edwards $1,500,000 7 Brad Lohaus $958,000 8 Vin Baker $866,000 9 Eric Murdock $800,000 10 Lee Mayberry $670,000 11 Anthony Cook $650,000 12 Jon Barry $650,000 13 Derek Strong $420,000 **** Todd Day, Blue Edwards, Lee Mayberry, Eric Murdock were your early crappier versions of Brandon “Branchise” Jennings.  Lots of ballin’ skills, little else.  Lots of upside supposedly. Derek Strong actually truly hussled and was the fan favorite even though his actual basket ball skills sucked. The uniforms were horrendous.  I think it was meant to mirror the purple on Barney or something. Eric Murdock led that Bucks team in points that year.  No one would ever guess who was third highest… Ken Norman!  (what?) Here’s my going away stat for you.  Jon Barry was 32-115 from 3s.  (Attempted 1.5 a game)  That’s a 27.8% shooting clip.  Todd Day though shot 148 and made only 33 for a 22.3% ratio.  I do remember that kid just chucking it at will.   (Monta Ellis is probably the worst 3 point shooter I can remember and he is shooting 24.3%, Jennings is shooting 36% from beyond the arc.  (Beyond the arc, a GREAT BAND NAME!) Jordan scores 47 against these Bucks.  Fun! Click here to view the embedded video. Let’s go to the mugshots.  Why am I crying? Skinny little guy wasn’t he?   Vanilla Gorilla! Your highest paid Buck. Skinny little guy wasn’t he?  Ewing?  Yes!       00 Anthony Avent PF 6-9 235 October 18, 1969 1 Seton Hall University 42 Vin Baker C 6-11 232 November 23, 1971 R University of Hartford 17 Jon Barry SG 6-4 195 July 25, 1969 1 Georgia Institute of Technology 40 Frank Brickowski C 6-9 240 August 14, 1959 9 Pennsylvania State University 00 Anthony Cook PF 6-9 205 March 19, 1967 2 University of Arizona 40 Joe Courtney PF 6-8 235 October 17, 1969 1 University of Southern Mississippi 10 Todd Day SG 6-6 188 January 7, 1970 1 University of Arkansas 30 Blue Edwards SF 6-4 200 October 31, 1965 4 East Carolina University 44 Greg Foster PF 6-11 240 October 3, 1968 3 University of Texas at El Paso 43 Mike Gminski C 6-11 250 August 3, 1959 13 Duke University 54 Brad Lohaus PF 6-11 230 September 29, 1964 6 University of Iowa 11 Lee Mayberry PG 6-1 172 June 12, 1970 1 University of Arkansas 5 Eric Murdock PG 6-1 190 June 14, 1968 2 Providence College 3 Ken Norman SF 6-8 215 September 5, 1964 6 University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign 24 Danny Schayes C 6-11 235 May 10, 1959 12 Syracuse University 20 Derek Strong PF 6-8 220 February 9, 1968 2 Xavier University
