TEAMS:
New York Knicks
Madison Square Garden, known for its rich history, tradition and of course the New York Knicks, will be opening its doors for another entertaining year of basketball. The Mecca of basketball, The Garden, which opened in 1968, has been under several renovations the past couple of years. Similar to the historic arena they play in, the Knicks have been under quite the renovation themselves. One can relate the renovation of MSG to the restructuring of the Knicks roster. You don’t want to tamper with the core foundation, further diminishing its vintage character, but instead, enhance the small characteristics.

Marv Albert down on Carmelo
NBA broadcaster Marv Albert isn't high on Carmelo Anthony as a player. He had some criticisms of Melo during a recent interview.
Have preseason injuries set the Knicks up for early season failure?
Much of the narrative regarding New York’s recent track record of underachievement has been centered around a lack of team chemistry. That narrative does have some merit to it, as this has been New York’s first conventional training camp with the trio of Carmelo Anthony, Amar’e Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler all on the roster. Not only was this seen as a training camp in which...
Tyson Chandler Doesn’t Believe Carmelo Will Shoot the Ball Less
For New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony, he has always been known as one of the top scorers in the league. He’s one of those guys who can get you 30-plus points per game if you really need it from him.
However, with the Knicks having one of the deepest teams in the league now, the 28-year-old said recently that he doesn’t plan on scoring as much, as he wants to try...
Tyson Chandler: Carmelo Anthony Isn’t Going To Shoot Less
Earlier this offseason, Carmelo Anthony made a vow that he was tired of scoring 30 or 40 points on a nightly basis, and now had more of a focus on doing whatever it took to win games. If that took defending and rebounding, and only taking 12 shots, he would do it.
This is admirable for anyone who knows Melo’s game. He shoots a lot, but a lot of the time, he is very good at it...
Tyson Chandler Was Worried Before MRI
Of course you heard, the Knicks received good news yesterday. Tyson is day to day with a bruised knee. We can’t explain the importance to health for the 12/13 NY Knicks and it all starts with Tyson. Our minds have been pre-occupied with Amare, Camby, Brewer, Sheed, and Shump. Basically the whole team at some point was injured or held out of practice and games for some reason...
Knicks' Stoudemire to get second opinion on knee
New York Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire is getting a second opinion on his injured left knee, the New York Daily News reported Friday. Stoudemire is scheduled to return in 10 to 17 days for a ruptured cyst in the knee. "He could still be back in two weeks, but they don't know," a source told ESPN New York. The Daily News earlier reported that Stoudemire...
Wally SZERBIAK is the best thing for knicks fans
As I watch Wally give his insightful opinion (preseason)on the knicks players and inside knowledge of a player that has recentlyretired from the NBA game, he brings fresh air to the MSG telecast.
He's the best commentator up there now IMHO .

Tyson Chandler Has Bone Bruise In Knee, Listed As Day-To-Day
The Knicks are optimistic that Tyson Chandler will be ready for the regular season opener against the Nets, but will likely be conservative.
Deron Williams says Knicks' Felton is upgrade from Lin
If anyone knows about Linsanity, it's Brooklyn Nets star Deron Williams.
After all, it was a game against the New York Knicks last Feb. 4 when Jeremy Lin finally broke out and started one of the craziest and most fun phenomenons in New York sports history.
Williams was the man Lin outplayed that night and the rest is sports history or — depending on who you talk to — sports...
Williams: Felton better PG than Lin
Brooklyn Nets All-Star Deron Williams said Saturday that Raymond Felton is a better playmaker than the point guard he replaced in New York, Jeremy Lin.
Lin outplayed Williams last Feb. 4 in a stunning performance off the bench, starting a phenomenon that became known as Linsanity. But the Knicks opted not to match the $25.1 million deal Lin signed with Houston, having already completed...
Nets: Deron Williams Says Don’t Compare Raymond Felton to Jeremy Lin
The Brooklyn Nets star point guard has went against every Knicks fan in New York and said Raymond Felton over Jeremy Lin. Williams made the statement outside of a Nets scrimmage he was unable to partake in because of tendinitis in his foot.
I can go on the record and say I do agree with the Nets captain, but only time will tell-not fortune telling. It is almost hard to argue for...
Brooklyn Nets floor general Deron Williams is wrong that ‘Raymond Felton is a better point guard than Jeremy Lin’
Despite praising Jeremy Lin, Brooklyn Nets floor general Deron Williams contends the New York Knicks upgraded at the point guard position by acquiring Raymond Felton in July. The 24-year-old Lin, who suffered a torn left meniscus in late-March that required … Continue reading →
