On NBA Draft night, trade winds are swirling.
According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia 76ers are trying to acquire Houston Rockets veteran guard Eric Gordon.
Pompey adds that the Sixers are using Matisse Thybulle as trade bait and have gone so far as to include a third team to facilitate the deal.

Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic vouched for Pompey's report, doubling down on the efforts to include a third team.
If you've followed me a long time, you know I don't tweet "sources" much. But that Eric Gordon news is legit. Rockets/Sixers been trying to create a three-team trade to make it possible.

The Rockets are reportedly interested in dealing Gordon but seek a first-round pick in return.
Gordon, 33, averaged 13.4 points, 2.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 57 games with the Rockets last season. The 14-year veteran has two years remaining on a four-year, $75.5 million contract. Gordon will make a $19.5 million base salary in 2022-23 and $20.9 in 2023-24.
Thybulle, 25, is a defensive specialist still trying to find a consistent offensive game. Last season with the Sixers, he averaged 5.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks in 66 games. Thybulle is eligible for a rookie extension and is scheduled to make $4.3 million in 2022-23.
