PLAYERS: Nick Young
TEAMS: Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers’ Nick Young has turned into a quality player on the court, averaging more than 10 points a game in three of the last four seasons. However, his life off the court may be becoming tumultuous. Young has been accused of drugging and raping a woman in a lawsuit in 2011, according to TMZ. The woman, who filed her suit as Jane Doe, claims she woke up in Young’s bed bleeding, unable to remember the events of the previous night. According to TMZ, Jane Doe says she met Young at the Crown Bar in West Hollywood. She says Young bought her and a friend a glass of champagne, and shortly after that point her memory cuts out. The next morning, Young took the woman home, but from there she immediately went to the UCLA Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center, according to TMZ. There a rape kit confirmed that she had gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid (GBH) in her system, and that her injuries were consistent with rape. Jane Doe says she continues to undergo psychiatric evaluations. Sixers Nick Young Sued for Allegedly Raping a Woman Anally

My first question is always why is she suing and not going to the police? According to TMZ this happened back in 2011 with Young was a member of the Clippers. A woman is suing Philadelphia 76ers star Nick Young for sexual assault — claiming he roofied her back in 2011 … then raped her vaginally and anally. According to the suit, the woman’s recollection of the evening ceased...

New Sixers GM: Fair to call Andrew Bynum trade a failure

The Philadelphia 76ers introduced their new general manager, Sam Hinkie, and the first question he will have to answer (aside from the Draft) in reshaping the franchise is the 7-foot-1 elephant with bad knees in the room. While Daryl Morey might be saying how glad his former protege is in the Eastern Conference, this is not an easy decision or situation for Hinkie to walk into. ...

Sixers new GM Sam Hinkie calls Andrew Bynum trade a failure, says Bynum is like any other free agent

Tweet Remember when Andrew Bynum was in the conversation as arguably the best center in the NBA just a season ago? Those days seem like ages ago, as the talented yet quirky seven-footer has made headlines for just about everything except basketball this past season, including re-injuring his knees while bowling, christmas shopping with a giant stuffed [...]

New Philadelphia 76ers general manager Sam Hinkie calls Andrew Bynum trade ‘a failure’

In the biggest understatement since the American Revolution, new Philadelphia 76ers general manager Sam Hinkie labeled the Andrew Bynum trade “a failure.” The 25-year-old Bynum, a hideous **** who landed in Philly (34-48) as part of a four-team, 12-player deal in August, didn’t step onto the hardwood once this season due to a potentially degenerative knee condition. A member...

Andrew BynumPhoto Credit: It was a long 2012-2013 campaign for the Philadelphia 76ers, that ended in a disappointing 34-48 record, head coach Doug Collins resigning, and a new General Manager in the form of Sam Hinkie. One of the main reasons for the Sixers disappointing season was the season-long injury to star center Andrew Bynum. Bynum, who was acquired by the Sixers...
