The Charlotte Bobcats are discussing sign-and-trade possibilities with multiple teams after reaching an impasse in contract negotiations with guard Gerald Henderson, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Henderson, 25, is a restricted free agent. He averaged career highs in points per game (15.5), assists per game (2.6) and steals per game (1.0) this past season. He also pulled down 3.7 rebounds per game.
The 12th overall pick in the 2009 draft, Henderson has spent his entire four-season career with the Bobcats.
The Yahoo! Sports report speculates the Bobcats could ramp up their pursuit of free agent guard Monta Ellis if they are able to deal Henderson.
