Dwight Howard isn’t the only Los Angeles Laker free agent receiving interest from multiple NBA teams. Former Louisville forward Earl Clark was one of the most improved players in the NBA in 2013, therefore when he became a free agent following the season, Clark had plenty of suitors. After multiple meetings with the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this week, Clark has agreed to a two year $9 million deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Sean Deveny of the SportingNews.com. Cleveland was the first team to express serious interest in Clark. The Los Angeles Clippers had reportedly expressed interest this week, but apparently they were too late. The Lakers wanted to bring Clark back, but could only sign him to a one-year deal because they’re trying to free up as much cap space as possible in 2014. This is a big time pay raise for Clark, considering he made just $1.2 million last season. He’ll earn $4.5 million in each of the next two seasons.
