The Sacramento Kings continue to give their G League standouts opportunities to prove themselves. Stockton guards Jordan Ford and Keon Ellis earned two-way contracts with the Kings after impressive G League and NBA Summer League play.
The Kings are continuing this trend by bringing in C Chance Comanche, reported by Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee.
Comanche, 27, is being brought into Sacramento for training camp. The NBA allows teams to have up to 21 players for training camp, and Comanche is number 18 for the Kings.
The 6'10" center averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game for the Stockton Kings in the 2022-23 season. Shooting an efficient 63% from the field, Comanche is effective when the ball is in his hands.
Comanche is most effective when he preys in the paint, waiting for somebody to test him at the rim. His 1.5 blocks per game are an understatement to his interior presence.
There aren't too many chances to score with Comanche in the frontcourt ❌

While he is incredibly valuable on the defensive end, he has a fantastic feel for the game on offense. Consistently positioning himself effectively, fighting for rebounds, making the correct passes, and being a lob threat are just a few traits that stand out.
Comanche will likely spend another season with the Stockton Kings, but with C Neemias Queta now with the Boston Celtics, Comanche has the opportunity to take the lead role on the G League affiliate.
Kings fans should expect Comanche to make some noise during training camp as the talented big man fills in for the recently waived Queta and C Nerlens Noel.
