New York Sports-Kings:
In a report by Alex Kennedy, the Knicks may have made an offer to the Atlanta Hawks for Josh Smith. According to Kennedy, the Knicks may have offered Amar’e Stoudemire and Iman Shumpert to the Hawks for Josh Smith and a salary cap filler.
The deal makes a lot of sense for the Knicks, who are strapped against the salary cap for the next two years. Stoudemire is signed through 2015 and Smith’s contract expires after this season.
Stoudemire has played well coming off of his injury and Iman Shumpert is a young project with a lot of potential. Shumpert is known for his tenacity on the defensive end, while Stoudemire, when healthy, is one of the better scorers in the game.
We’re counting down the hours until the trade deadline come Thursday. It looks like it may be an exciting one.

The Atlanta Hawks, who are expected to deal forward Josh Smith before Thursday’s trade deadline, reportedly offered the Philadelphia Sixers the 8-year veteran in exchange for swingman and former second overall pick, Evan Turner (13.8 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 4.4 apg), and center, Spencer Hawes (10.2 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.3 blkpg).

The New York Knicks suffered an ugly loss at the hands of the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night by the score of 125-91. There were very few highlights for the Knicks, but one of them was an accidental soccer-style pass by Iman Shumpert to Steve Novak.
It happened in the fourth quarter (after most Knicks fans had probably turned the game off). Shumpert stumbled when trying to...
Everyone NBA fan knows that the Atlanta Hawks are going to trade Josh Smith, so here are some possible trades for the star-caliber, but hot-headed forward.
* The Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks have all been said to be interested, but they simply do not have the pieces to make a deal without a third team being involved in the trade(Mavericks...
The Atlanta Hawks seem to be willing to pull the trigger on a Josh Smith trade before Thursday's deadline, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.
Stein writes that the "Hawks have convinced numerous teams that they're definitely trading" Smith. The thinking is that the Hawks have to trade Smith now, or they will definitely lose him for nothing in free agency. So where...
Scratch the Phoenix Suns off the list of teams in the Josh Smith derby.
ESPN is reporting that the Suns are "unlikely" to be able to pry J-Smoove from the Atlanta Hawks. That leaves Milwaukee (possibly moving Monta Ellis), Brooklyn (likely offering Kris Humphries and MarShon Brooks), Washington (offering everyone but John Wall, Nene and Bradley Beal) and Boston (probably...
Josh Smith has been a facet of trade rumors very reminiscent to the one that were shouldered by Dwight Howard just a year ago. It has been a bumpy ride this year for Smith. However, despite the many rumors that stated that Smith would stay in Atlanta, the Hawks have opted to keep Smith. There are many possible reason why this may be. For one, Smith is sitting on an expiring contract...
The Celtics are active on several trade fronts including talks with the Hawks on Josh Smith.
Josh Smith remains in Atlanta. That's not good news for the Hawks.
If I ran every NBA team, here are five deals that would go down before Thursday afternoons trading deadline:
1. Atlanta PF Josh Smith to San Antonio for PFC DeJuan Blair, SF Stephen Jackson and a first-round pick.
Smith is headed somewhere, that much is fairly certain. Yes, he can be difficult, playing the role of the occasional knucklehead who is somewhat of a risk when the idea...
The 76ers have been approached by the Atlanta Hawks about a trade of Josh Smith for Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes.
The NBA trade deadline is on Thursday, so the trade talks are heating up. Here are the latest rumors out there.
-Hawks forward Josh Smith is the most likely player to get traded.
- A proposed trade out there is Mbah a Moute and a 1st round pick to Orlando for J.J. Redick.
-The Raptors are shopping former No. 1 pick Andrea Bargnani.
- Kevin Garnett to the Clippers?
- Clippers Eric...
It’s no secret that the Knicks are notoriously slow starters in the 1st quarter. It has become a growing trend where the Knicks open up with a dreadful 1st quarter, play a good 2nd quarter to cut the halftime deficit to a reasonable margin, trade leads in the 3rd and then hope to gain an edge in the 4th quarter and pull away. Although the Knicks are statistically one of the...
Sometimes, the best trades are the ones that are never made. At least, thats what some NBA teams are spinning after Thursdays snoozer of a trading deadline.
And some teams are correct. No deal sure beats a bad one, right?
With that in mind, heres who emerged as the post-deadline winners and losers:
Winners: Milwaukee Bucks
OK, despite all the effort and coming very close, the...
8 a.m. ET: Everybody is on the clock. The NBA trade deadline arrives Thursday at 3 p.m. ET, marking the last chance this season for teams to add that last pivotal player to put them over the hump — or to dump that extra salary or free-agent-to-be before it is too late.
As usual, the run-up to the deadline has featured no shortage of rumors. Some are intriguing. Some are absurd...
