Either Amar’e Stoudemire has had a change of heart this summer, or the Knicks are not really feeling Dwight Howard going to Houston. After agreeing to travel to Houston to train with Hall of Fame center and big man guru Hakeem Olajuwon, Stoudemire, reportedly has changed his mind, and will instead rest. You probably assumed Stoudemire chose to pass on refining his post game, and instead will spend the summer traveling? The New York Post is reporting that the Knicks have taken the stance that Stoudemire should rest, and no longer work with Olajuwon. According to reports, Houston is allowing Olajuwon to fulfill any of his prior workout commitments with opposing players this month before he begins his new job of working with Rockets big men. Meaning he’s Dwight Howard’s tutor only. Stoudemire probably will never work with Olajuwon again. We have no word yet, on whether or not the same goes for Carmelo Anthony, who was supposed to train with Olajuwon also.

Stoudemire Will Rest Instead Of Training With Hakeem

Amar'e Stoudemire has canceled a scheduled week of workouts with Hakeem Olajuwon in Houston. The New York Knicks and Stoudemire decided that rest would be more important than refining his post moves with Olajuwon. Olajuwon has accepted a position with the Houston Rockets, meaning this would be his final summer tutoring players on an ad hoc basis. Carmelo Anthony may move forward...

Stat will not visit The Dream

New York Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire worked on his post game with former Houston Rockets great Hakeem Olajuwon last off season and planned on doing so this summer too. The Knicks have squashed that though as they’d like to protect their oft-injured “star”. For those who’re thinking Olajuwon’s new position with the Rockets is the reason, it’s not. Stoudemire...

WATCH: Mark Cuban Releases Dwight Howard Recruitment Video (It's a Must See!)

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban made it no secret--he wanted to bring Dwight Howard to Dallas. Obviously he didn't succeed since D12 is in Houston. Unlike the folks in Houston, he kept his cards close to his chest when it came to his pitch. In a rather long post on his own blog he talked about trying to recruit Howard--including this video he had made. After watching it...

Cuban: Howard was somewhat of a risk

Mark Cuban talked on his blog about the Mavericks' failed effort to sign Dwight Howard, and he says Howard was "somewhat of a risk."

How did the Mavericks not sign Howard after this?

Dwight Howard, who sees himself as somewhat of a superhero, ended up signing with the Houston Rockets. This much we know. But were you aware of the Dallas Mavericks pitch to him? Mark Cuban revealed on his blog a video package that includes nods to this past summer’s blockbuster hit ‘Man of Steel’, including the score written by composer Hans Zimmer. Being the comic book geek...

Mark Cuban's Sales Pitch To Dwight Howard, It Ends With Global Domination

[HT: blogmaverick.com] Mark Cuban is used to listening to sales pitches, you see it weekly on the ABC-TV show Shark Tank. The tables turned last month with Cuban trying to sell his franchise, the Dallas Mavericks to the most prized free agent in the NBA, Dwight Howard. Cuban revealed his sales pitch to Howard in a blog Cuban writes for Mavs fans. Here's a snippet...

Dez Bryant Says It’s Redskins Dezmon Briscoe Who Likes To Get Peed On

I find this all a bit humorous. Just to review a groupie went on Twitter and said Dez Bryant likes straps on and to be peed on. Dez responded by saying that he was going to sue the groupie for her false claims. The groupie deleted her Twitter account and now Dez has added a twist to the story.  He has released these text messages via his twitter account that he received from the...

Report: Chris Paul Threatened to Leave L.A. for Houston if Clippers Didn’t Land Doc Rivers

Dwight Howard bolted the Los Angeles Lakers for the Houston Rockets, and the perception continues to be that Howard left because he didn’t like head coach Mike D’Antoni‘s system. Well, apparently Howard wasn’t the only L.A. basketball player to desire to leave if he didn’t get his coach — only this one got his way. Chris Paul threatened the Clippers that he would leave...

The Lakers ARE NOT tanking

Putting the words "Los Angeles Lakers" and "tanking" in the same sentence is an odd thing. The Lakers are not a team that finds themselves competing for ping pong balls or near the bottom of the standings. With Dwight Howard leaving in free agency and Kobe Bryant down for who knows how long with his ruptured Achilles, some people dared to use the "t"...
