In northern New Jersey, where basketball success isn't exactly something people are used to, Drazen Petrovic's death in 1993 hit home hard. Current Nets 3-point specialist Anthony Morrow plans to pay homage to the Croatian legend in the long-distance shootout this weekend at the NBA All-Star festivities in Orlando. Morrow, a career 44 percent 3-point shooter (just like Petrovic) will wear Petrovic's No. 3 Nets jersey during the competition, the Star-Ledger reports. "I just remember -- I don't remember a whole lot -- but I remember he could shoot real, real good," Morrow told NJ.com's Mike Vorkunov. Petrovic averaged more...

So far as I know he’s the only, but that still makes him the best.
I think we can safely say that after watching Nets majority owner Mikhail Prokhorov try his hand at rapping, or something approximating rap, it’s no big surprise that the Russian rap scene never really took off. I don’t know what is more evident while he’s dropping his rhymes—his whiteness or his Russian...

Here’s the good news: Brook Lopez returned to the court and was pain-free.

The big man said he...
Eventful times are upon us, Nets fans! March is closing in, and with it the potential end of the Dwightmare (regardless of what that may mean for the Nets, who have been lead to believe that they’re right up there vs. the Mavericks on Dwight’s top list). What started with a nasty 8 game losing streak ended with a load of great news! Let’s get through it.
Firstly, the Nets...
Brook Lopez is not very good at the power of persuasion. After playing Sunday night for the first time this season, having sat 32 games because of a broken foot, Lopez brought his case to play last night before Nets coach Avery Johnson. He would have been better off asking...

Visitors to the Nets’ website yesterday were greeted with a picture of Deron Williams and Dwight Howard.
The image of the two superstars was being used to promote tonight’s game, the only time the Magic will play at Prudential Center this season and the Nets’ final game before the...

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- New Jersey Nets forward Shawne Williams had surgery to repair an old fracture and remove two small bone fragments in his left foot Wednesday. He will miss the rest of the season.
As we all know Mikhail Prokhorov is the billionaire mogul, KGB-connected, Russian Presidential candidate/majority owner of the New Jersey-Brooklyn Nets. One of his co-owners is rap legend Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z aka Jigga aka HOVA. To put it simply they both wear a lot of hats. In recent years, Jay-Z has become more of a” business man, not a business,
Linsanity ran into reality: All-Star Deron Williams wasn't getting embarrassed by the Harvard guy again. Williams scored a season-high 38 points, outplaying Jeremy Lin and leading the New Jersey Nets to a 100-92 victory over the New York Knicks on Monday night. Lin began his remarkable run against the Nets about two weeks ago, but Williams and the Nets were ready for him this time.
Ersan Ilyasova had career highs of 29 points and 25 rebounds, and the Milwaukee Bucks snapped a four-game losing streak with a 92-85 victory over the Nets on Sunday night, spoiling the season debut of Nets center Brook Lopez, who played 22 minutes.
NEWARK, N.J. -- Hedo Turkoglu and Earl Clark will play tonight against the New Jersey Nets after they felt sick earlier today, coach Stan Van Gundy said minutes ago.
