Most of the trade rumors that have involved the Celtics in recent weeks have included Rajon Rondo. However, it's apparently a couple of older veterans who are really piquing the interest of teams across the league. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are drawing the most trade interest, according to CSNNE.com's A. Sherrod Blakely. Blakely cites multiple league sources in his report, and says that since players signed during the offseason can now be traded as of Friday, there are even more options for the C's when it comes to striking a deal. Pierce is averaging 17.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and...

We all know that Ray Allen’s name surfaces, this time of year, every season. This usually is where I commence my campaign to KEEP RAY IN GREEN! However, this season is different. Boston is no longer the NBA title town it was in 2008. The Celtics are barely mentioned in “elite” or “contending” status anymore. [...]
Ray Allen and Jermaine O’Neal will be out tonight against the surging New Jersey Nets. Mickael Pietrus will start in Allen’s place. Allen is under the weather while O’Neal is facing a career roadblock as a left wrist injury may require surgery. O’Neal says his wrist will require one of three treatments, per the Globe’s [...]
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Doc Rivers and Danny Ainge have decided — or have been forced to come to the realization — that the Boston Celtics are not championship contenders and they are ready to make some deals for the future. Woj also believes that Paul Pierce would be the most likely candidate to get shipped out of town.
Wojnarowski points to...
Follow me on Twitter @CLNS_Sean and use the hashtag #CLNS to Tweet live during tonight’s Celtics game! Your Boston Celtics have been a hot topic all over the news this week, haven’t they? Trade rumors abound, speculation about Rondo’s relationship with Doc, the travesty that would be any trade involving Paul Pierce…my head is spinning. All of [...]
This week's "Fan Friday" features Mikey from Dartmouth, Ma. Mikey has been a Celtics season-ticket holder since 2006, and is at every Celtics home game. He is a big collector of NBA memorabilia -specifically autographs. Mikey is at the Garden 2 hours prior to tip-off of every gamenight. I call him "The Autograph King," as Mikey has hundreds of autographs...
At the beginning of the season I was more than sure there needed to be a drastic change for our Celtics. The team´s performance was atrocious and more importantly: the soul of the team was nowhere to be found. Our defense was one of the worst in the league and teams abused us on a regular basis.
It was a heartbreaking period for Celtics fans.
The state of our Big Three was very...
POINTS OF INTEREST
Boston is a very good defensive team. They allow the 3rd lowest points per game in the NBA.
Balanced attack but cannot keep up with us on transition game.
Rondo's name is in trade rumors.
KEYS TO THE GAME
Should be interesting to see how our Knicks take on the Celtics now that we're back at full strength.
* Limit Paul Pierce who is very efficient...

What a difference a game makes!
It’s hard to believe Suns-Celtics was even the same sport as Suns-Lakers. Whereas that game ebbed and flowed with excitement, this one clunked and chunked with exasperation.
In case you’re not catching my drift, let me put it another way: The Suns, Celtics, and Basketball had a little triangular meet, with the Suns finishing first, the Celtics...
