The Toronto Raptors are deep in talks with Philadelphia 76ers general manager Ed Stefanski for their vacant GM opening. Yahoo! Sports, citing league sources, reported that Stefanski and former New Orleans Hornets GM Jeff Bower are the final two candidates for the Toronto opening. The Raptors are seeking a new GM after Bryan Colangelo opted to leave the post to focus on his duties as team president. Colangelo has said in the past that he could handle both jobs, but would hire a GM if he thought it would be better for the team. Stefanski is also being targeted for the GM position with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to a report in the Oregonian. The Raptors are coming off one of the worst seasons in franchise history, having gone 22-60.
