Philadelphia 76ers big man Royce is reportedly at the center of a criminal investigation in Texas after allegedly beating up this then-girlfriend.White's ex-girlfriend, Maxim model Tania Mehra, filed a police report on August 30 to report an incident that occurred at White's Houston-area home in June. The report states that someone from the home called 911 on June 22 to report a laceration above Mehra's right eye. At the time, Mehra claimed the injury was from an accidental fall. However, she has since changed her story, filing another incident report, and claiming she lied about what happened on the night of the incident. In reality, Mehra claims White is to blame for her injury.Cops tell TMZ, "The victim said she had lied earlier because the suspect played for the NBA and did not want the incident to damage his career."Law enforcement also tells us, "The victim stated that White had assaulted her after she became angered by his advances toward her friend."The incident is under investigation and no charges have yet been filed against the 22-year-old White.A source also told the celebrity gossip site that White grabbed a candleholder and threw it at Mehra during the altercation. But it missed badly and smashed into a nearby mirror, instead.
