Smithdunk
Now, after missing out on Gordon and Gay, the Suns have shifted their attention to a new star that may be available prior to the Feb. 21 trade deadline. The Suns are pursuing Josh Smith, according to multiple league sources. Phoenix will try to acquire Smith before the deadline or, if that fails, through a sign-and-trade deal next offseason. The Suns are very interested in Smith and have had exploratory talks with the Atlanta Hawks about the 27-year-old forward. Phoenix views Smith as a franchise player who can be one of the cornerstones of the team for years to come. The Suns have been searching for a face of the franchise since Steve Nash’s departure last summer, and Smith could be exactly that. If the Hawks decide it’s time to part ways with Smith, the Suns will be one of the teams on the phone. via Hoops World

Phoenix Suns Tribute Video To Steve Nash

The Phoenix Suns showed this tribute highlight reel video set to “I’m Coming Home” during the win over the Lakers and Steve Nash’s first trip back to the US Airways Center:

Suns retro jerseys should be their permanent jerseys

Last night the Phoenix Suns spoiled Steve Nash's return to the place he called home for the better part of the last decade by storming back behind the crazy hair and shot making of Michael Beasley. That's not the most important thing that came out of the Suns' victory. What's most important is that after years of suffering through the ugliest uniforms in professional...

With Gay traded, is Josh Smith next domino to fall?

The first domino before the February 21 trade deadline fell Wednesday when the Grizzlies traded Rudy Gay to the Raptors for Jose Calderon and Ed Davis and then sent Calderon to the Pistons for Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye. It was not quite the deal everyone expected for Gay, but it was not totally unexpected that Gay would get moved. Memphis is desperate to get under the tax...
