HoopsHype's Michael Scotto reported on Wednesday the Phoenix Suns will not tender a qualifying offer to guard Aaron Holiday.

Holiday was one of six pending free agents for the Suns, and he can now enter free agency with no restrictions. A potential qualifying offer would have been worth $5.79 million according to Spotrac. His cap hit last season was $3.98 million.

Phoenix initially traded for Holiday in February of last season for cash considerations and a trade exception from the Washington Wizards. In the final 22 games he played in the regular season, he averaged 6.8 points and 3.4 assists per game.

Holiday failed to make an impact in the playoffs, falling behind the guard rotation of Chris Paul, Landry Shamet and Cameron Payne.

Fellow guard Elfrid Payton is also set to join him in free agency.
