The Kurt Rambis coaching drama has reached a conclusion.
According to Yahoo! Sports, Minnesota Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations, David Kahn, is expected to announce the firing of head coach Kurt Rambis after Thursday night’s draft.
There has been no hiding the fact that Kahn and Rambis flat out didn’t get along. According to the report:
Kahn met with Rambis last week and believes he has reached an impasse with the coach. The relationship between Kahn and Rambis deteriorated over the course of the past season, to the point where there’s been little communication between them.
In two seasons as the head coach for the Wolves, Rambis accumulated a horrid 32-132 record. He will be bought out from the last two years of his contract.
Per the report, University of Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar is one candidate that Kahn and staff have looked at as a potential replacement of Rambis.
