Reporter believes LeBron James will sign with Lakers
Looks like Bron is getting that L.A. look down early. Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The speculation that LeBron James would leave Cleveland for the Lakers in free agency after the season heated up again during the week after James and his wife were seen checking out a Los Angeles school. Now that speculation is receiving an even bigger boost.

Veteran NBA reporter Peter Vecsey reported Saturday that James definitively will leave the Cavs for the Lakers next year.

For months, many in the media declared or composed presumption the Lakers would be the beneficiaries of his talents when he became a free agent July 1, 2018. I’m eradicating all conjecture and uncertainty! I’m comfortable now in stating unequivocally, LeBron will leave the Cavaliers a second time and join the Lakers, and return the team to LA Lore status.

The Cavaliers reportedly have been obsessed with the potential future of James, worrying that he may leave. That’s a big reason why they wanted to get a high draft pick in return for Kyrie Irving. Additionally, James has been training in LA this offseason, where he has a home. Plus there was speculation that the Lakers recently signed a player to appeal to James.

Time will tell what happens with LeBron, but all the buzz certainly will make for an interesting season.
