Fox Sports Wisconsin:
After agreeing to terms with several free agents, the Milwaukee Bucks sent a veteran player packing Tuesday as multiple reports indicate that forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is headed to Sacramento.
In return for Mbah a Moute, the Bucks reportedly are getting a future second-round draft pick. Reports indicate Milwaukee will receive the Kings' second-rounder in 2016. There are conflicting reports on another pick. USA Today's Sam Amick says the Bucks will also have the option to swap second-rounders in 2018.
Mbah a Moute, a second-round pick of Milwaukee in 2008, played five seasons for the Bucks. Milwaukee kept Mbah a Moute around by matching a four-year, 19 million offer sheetfrom the Nuggets in 2011for the then-restricted free agent.
Noted for his defense, Mbah a Moute has averaged 6.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in his career. In 2012-13, he averaged a career-low 22.9 minutes per game although he played 34 minutes per game in Milwaukee's playoff series against the Miami Heat, when he was tasked with guarding LeBron James.
The Bucks have recently agreed to terms with shooting guard O.J. Mayo, center Zaza Pachulia and small forward Carlos Delfino, the latter-free agent acquisition creating a logjam at the position for the Bucks.
By trading Mbah a Moute, the Bucks not only create some room at small forward, but they also clear out some cap space as he was due around 9 million over the next two seasons.
The Bucks also received a pair of second-round picks in a sign-and-trade deal which sent guard J.J. Redick to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Milwaukee also saw Mike Dunleavy agree to sign with the Bulls while free-agent guard Monta Ellis is expected to sign elsewhere.
