So far, Royce White’s ride in the NBA has been a rocky one. He has yet to actually play a minute for the Houston Rockets, a team who had three first round draft picks this past season. White’s battles with anxiety have been well documented throughout college and in his short time in the NBA. One of the first steps was getting the team to allow him to take a bus to certain games instead of flying, as airplanes make him very anxious. Things got messy, quick. When he began to start missing team activities, such as practices, the Houston Rockets demanded that he meet with a team doctor in place of the activities. One of the biggest names in the NBA reporting business, Adrian Wojnarowski, wrote this piece detailing his spin on White’s situation. Woj was brutally honest, yet still made an honest effort at being sensitive to the problem. Well, let’s just say Royce White wasn’t happy to read it. At all. You can see the full rant at his Twitter page. Here are just a few of the tweets: Sorry Tweeps, I’m up early WORKING on these #StigmaPushers like @wojyahoonba < This guy needs his #journalism card snatched. — Royce White (@Highway_30) November 24, 2012 Idc how good @wojyahoonba is supposed to as a journalist, if something is baseless and not factual, I’m calling it out, bottom line! — Royce White (@Highway_30) November 24, 2012 I can’t confirm this just yet, but it even looks as if Royce White has since deleted many of his tweets. Regardless, it’s out there, and everyone will see it at this point. Hopefully this situation ends in the best way, whatever that may be. I’m rooting for Royce White, but he needs to look at other athletes with mental problems and use them as a model. He can really do some great things on and off the court and serve as a great example to people with anxiety issues. But exploding like this on Twitter at a columnist won’t help. -Mark Evans, Assistant Manager/Editor of Content Follow us on Twitter The post Royce White Goes On Twitter Rant Against Adrian Wojnarowski appeared first on Pass The Pill.
