credit: sbnation.com The Toronto Raptors made news when they traded for Rudy Gay and his massive contract this season. Gay has been seen by many as an inefficient scorer who has never cashed on all of the physical tools and potential that he possesses. He is a career 34% three point shooter, which isn’t excellent by any means. There are surely multiple variables in this equation, but one that is blatantly in his control that he has refused to address: his vision. According to National Vision, Rudy Gay has some issues with his vision, and has refused to wear goggles or contacts to help the problem. He also mentioned Gay has vision issues that require correction in an interview on TSN Radio with myself and Dave Naylor; an NBA source says Gay has required contact lenses for years, but has refused to wear them, and could not get comfortable with goggles this season. Since his biggest problem is his shooting, maybe there is a medical way to turn him into the all-star Colangelo desires. When you’re trying to hit threes, it helps if the rim appears in focus. There’s a problem when a player making that much money is refusing to wear contacts or goggles to improve his vision. What’s the reason he isn’t fixing this issue? You have to think that seeing is a priority for a guy who makes his living at putting a ball in a hoop. Just saying. -Mark Evans, Assistant Manager/Editor of Content Follow us on Twitter The post Rudy Gay Has Vision Issues, Refuses To Wear Contacts appeared first on Pass The Pill - Kings of Hoops.
