Found March 22, 2012 on Rumors and Rants:
The above video shows one of the saddest scenes in an NBA game I’ve seen in quite a while. Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook is one heck of an athlete, but I think he overestimated his skills on this play. On Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, Westbrook caught the ball on the right wing and attempted to go all Blake Griffin on…Blake Griffin. He failed miserably and picked up a charge in the process.   In fact, Westbrook nearly air-balled his dunk attempt. Luckily the Thunder came away with a 114-91 win over the Clippers. Hey, here’s an “A” for effort Russell, nice try. Now don’t ever freaking do it again.

Jason Smith with the Hip Check of Blake Griffin

Whomever said basketball isn't a contact sport is absolutely insane.Heck, every once in a while, you see hits...or fouls that would make hockey players blush. This is one of those. Last night, New Orleans Hornet forward Jason Smith was bound and determined to not let Blake Griffin of the LA Clippers do what he does best on the fastbreak...dunk the ball. The result is...well...shall...

Clippers Fan Finger Blasting Herself After Beating Pistons Or Just Itching?

Remember the Pistons-Clippers game the other night when Blake Griffin blasted some woman holding nachos and a beer. To her left was backwards hat wearing dbag. Ring a bell? And here we figured that was the big highlight in that game. Wrong. One dude watched until the end when Chauncey Billups was chatting with his old friends. In the background was a woman doing something down there...

During the fourth quarter of last night's NBA game in New Orleans, Hornets forward Jason Smith found a way to stop Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin from dunking on him on a fast break: Smith body-checked Griffin to the floor like a hockey player. Wolves can't withstand Durant, Westbrook

When Kevin Love hit a game-tying three-pointer with a second left in regulation, Kevin Durant smiled. Of all the things to do after your team has blown a lead, with the chances of winning before overtime as slim as any, to smile would seem like the least obvious choice. But Durant is a competitor, and this was a challenge. It was as if he knew what was to come, that he and his team...

Chris Paul’s mediocre return to New Orleans helps Clippers drop third straight.

NEW ORLEANS, March 23—It was a UGLY night down in New Orleans. When I say ugly I mean bowling shoe ugly. It was so ugly I wouldn’t call what happened here a basketball game, I would call it a “wrasslin” match. In his first game back since his exodus to Los Angeles, Chris Paul was expected to come through and do what LeBron James did to the Cavaliers when he showed his face...

Jason Smith Suspended Two Games By NBA For Flagrant Foul On Blake Griffin (Video)

It would appear that some NBA players have finally gotten tired of Blake Griffin's flashy dunks and celebrations. Jason Smith, a member of the New Orleans Hornets, took out some frustration on Griffin on Thursday night. As the Clippers were on a fastbreak, Smith raced to catch Griffin and body-checked him to the ground. It was obvious that the hit was illegal and totally unnecessary...

Clippers-Thunder Preview

Once flying high, the Los Angeles Clippers are struggling to score. The Oklahoma City Thunder are dealing with some inconsistency of their own. The Clippers will visit their second playoff contender in as many nights when they continue a back-to-back-to-back stretch against the Western Conference-leading Thunder on Wednesday. Los Angeles (26-19) has gone a season-high seven straight...

Pacers Handle Clippers

INDIANAPOLIS, March 20—It was a bad day all-around for Los Angeles basketball as the Clippers also lost to the Pacers 102-89. Last night the Clippers had to have been waiting for Chris Paul to kick into high gear as he only salvaged 16 points from his repertoire. Blake Griffin was on point as usual racking a double-double to provide 23 points and 10 rebounds. The Clippers are inconsistent...

Well the NBA came down on Smith and has suspended him two games without pay for his Flagrant Foul 2 on Griffin last night. This means Smith won't play against the San Antonio...
