The San Antonio Spurs have never been afraid of drafting a player and letting him develop overseas. The "Draft and Stash" philosophy has helped the Spurs during their fifteen season playoff streak.
The Spurs 2010 second round draft pick, Ryan Richards has spent the past two and a half years developing his game while playing in various European Basketball Leagues. However, in yet another move to a new team it seems Ryan is still trying to find his niche.
It’s not a fresh news but Ryan Richards signed in Greece with Ikaros. He just scored 14pts vs Panathinaikos http://t.co/2XlX3bn2z0

So he appears to be starting off the right foot with a 14 point debut against Panathinaikos.
Moreover, this isn't the first time Ryan has hopped teams. He has played for Great Britain, Gran Canaria, the Lugano Tigers, Zepter Vienna, Al Nasr Dubai, Asseco Gdynia, BBC Monthey and now with Ikaros.
As the journey continues for Richards, how long before you think we see him in silver and black? At the rate he is going (and his sub-par performances with the Spurs Summer League teams), I doubt it will ever happen.

Following the San Antonio Spurs’ 115-92 beatdown at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday at Staples Center, Gregg Popovich, the team’s typically cantankerous, grumpy, curmudgeonly head coach, showed off his humorous side when he sneakily stole the headband right off of the head of Clippers veteran Stephen Jackson. Coming into Monday’s matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers, an All-Star point guard matchup between Tony Parker and Chris Paul was the expectation. However, as the game got under way, only one of the perennial point guards would end up finishing the game in a healthy state.

The San Antonio Spurs have scored 107.4 points per 100 possessions this season, the fourth highest mark in the league; only Portland, Houston and Miami, all potent offensive dynamos, are more efficient offensively.
