BEST OF MAXIM
Chauncey Billups has been starting beside Chris Paul for the Clippers thus far this season (two games), but did not start on Friday night vs. the Bulls due to a sore groin. That didn't stop PA announcer David Courtney from introducing the veteran glue guy anyway:
Courtney must have put in a lot of time practicing the Clippers intros for the home opener and, when Billups...
One small leap over a car for Blake Griffin. One giant step for the Clippers. The fortune for the other team in L.A. appeared to turn for the better, thanks to Griffin's monster "rookie" season. Now, thanks to an assist from David Stern, CP3 is in town, suddenly making the Clippers a serious contender.
Few would argue that the Clippers have a serious shot at ending...

As soon as Chris Paul was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, joining Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Caron Butler and Chauncey Billups, the hype machine got going.

So due to the holiday schedule, I’m submitting this on Friday...
That other NBA team in Los Angeles is generating more and more buzz.
The up-and-coming Clippers got a chance to strut their stuff Friday night in the team's home opener at Staples Center.
They came up short though, losing to the Chicago Bulls, 114-101. The loss drops the Clippers to 1-2 on the season.
Blake Griffin led the Clips with 34 points and 13 rebounds. Newly-acquired...
Sean Williams, new Dallas Mavericks big man, really misses the chance to play with J.J. Barea, Tyson Chandler and Caron Butler. After an 0-2 start to the 66-game season, the player showed his feelings on the court last night. (This team is not going to repeat.)
The tenants of "Lob City"were not built upon the idea of Chauncey Billups hoisting nineteen shots per game and Chris Paul playing shooting guard. The pieces of this Los Angeles Clippers puzzle were meant to fit in such a way that lob passes floated like clouds, endlessly through the Staples Center sky, resulting in thunderous explosions shaking both the rim and arena on...
Q: Does The Norris Cole Fan Club have a president yet? If not, where do I apply? I am glad we didn't get Chauncey Billups or Baron Davis, aren't you? -- Steve.
'We have to gel,' coach saysOAKLAND, Calif. — The Bulls don't play the Clippers until Friday, but with the headline-making acquisitions of Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups , the often-ridiculed franchise arguably owns the league's biggest buzz.
