The gang on TNT’s Inside the NBA always seem to be having far too much fun while doing their jobs, nearly to the point that it should make the rest of us jealous. Obviously, the job in and of itself is pretty awesome, but the manner in which Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Chris Webber and Kenny Smith — with Ernie Johnson trying to hold it all together — poke fun at each other and allow us to witness the lighter side of being super-smart NBA analysts makes the show far and above the greatest pregame/postgame show on television for any sport. On Thursday, with Barkley on location providing color commentary for TNT’s coverage of the Los Angeles Clippers-Phoenix Suns game, the gang really took it Sir Charles, mainly about how he pampers himself by getting his eyebrows waxed and consequently, how he has no problem admitting to the fact he enjoys the finer things in life. That’s when the guys really let loose in the studio, mocking and ridiculing Barkley in hilarious fashion. With some commentary that bordered on risque, Shaquille O’Neal had EJ rip duct tape off his eyebrows, Chris Webber put lip moisturizer and mentioned how we don’t want to know where he gets waxed and Kenny Smith showed off his gel manicure. “AIN’T NO SHAME IN MY GAME!” Great stuff. And to cap off an already bizarre scene, TNT threw up this terrifying image: Good Lord.
