That NBA Lottery Pick:
Previously on That NBA Lottery Pick, comedian Kevin Hart took a rather hilarious photo with Dwight Howard where D-12 didn’t exactly fit in the photo.
In this post, Kevin recently met up with Shaquille O’Neal and took a photo with him that ended up on his Instagram account.
This time, Kevin was able to get into the shot but Shaq sadly didn’t:
BEST OF MAXIM
The Orlando Magic have let the $17.8 million trade exception they received in the four-team trade that sent Dwight Howard to the Lakers expire. The exception would have allowed the Magic to absorb salary in a potential trade, however, it expired at midnight Sunday – exactly one year from the blockbuster deal.
Hoopsworld’s Steve Kyler explains why the team would’ve let it expire...
One of the more prominent misconceptions from non-believers thrusted upon believers is that of perfection; it’s often believed Christians can not sin. They just can’t. They are to be perfect human beings, without flaws, judgments, or make erroneous decisions, when in fact, even the most devout still sin. People sin. I sin. You sin. My mother [...]The post Keeping The Faith:...
Last season, most Lakers fans were ready to accept Dwight Howard, but it didn’t seem like he was ready to accept them. Did he ever really want to be a Laker? Did he ever truly embrace the purple and gold? Jim Buss doesn’t think so.
According to Ric Bucher who did a piece on the Buss family for the Hollywood Reporter, Jim feels that Howard was “never really a Laker”:
Dwight Howard isn’t trying to play like Hakeem Olajuwon.
Howard worked with Olajuwon earlier this week before taking a planned trip to Asia.
“It’s not about emulating Dream,” Howard said of the workouts, which also included Kevin McHale. “That’s the thing. We get caught up in comparing players, trying to do what this guys does just because you work with him. The thing...
It appears that the Rockets are more than just VERY financially invested in Dwight Howard, they also want him to excel after dropping some big cheese on him. The latest indication of that is Dwight Howard getting some post lessons from no other than Hakeem Olajuwon and coach Kevin McHale. Olajuwon is on the Rockets payroll in order to work “with Rockets interior players each...
Dwight Howard is a defensive beast. On offense, he does not necessarily plow through opposing centers. He relies on his jumping ability to get going inside the paint. Compared to [...]
Dwight Howard spent very little time with the Los Angeles Lakers before heading off to Houston. Most NBA fans envisioned Howard becoming the face of the Lakers’ franchise after Kobe Bryant retired, but the plan never came to fruition. Team executive vice president Jim Buss does not sound surprised. Rick Bucher interviewed Buss for a […]
Now that Dwight Howard is the starting center for the Houston Rockets, he has the talents of incredible post players like Hakeem Olajuwon at his disposal – oh, and Kevin McHale ain’t half bad, either – as Jason Friedman sent these pictures out on Twitter displaying Howard’s work. The post Dwight Howard works out with Hakeem Olajuwon, Kevin McHale (Photo) appeared first on...
Now that Dwight Howard has officially left LA to join the Houston Rockets, Lakers owner and vice president, Jim Buss, says that the 27-year-old center, who spent just one season with the franchise, was “never really a Laker.”
According to Ric Bucher, Hollywood Report:
Jim insists he’s just following his father’s blueprint, but the Howard situation suggests he missed a page...
One perk of signing with the Houston Rockets as a big man is being able to work out with some of the best post players in NBA history, and Dwight Howard is taking full advantage. The 27-year-old center was seen working out at the Toyota Center Monday with Hall of Famers, Hakeem Olajuwon and Kevin McHale.
Kevin Hart, the successful comedian/actor who stands about 5’4 tall, took a picture with 7’1 former NBA center Shaquille O’Neal this weekend and uploaded it to his Instagram account. As you can see above, there were some serious framing issues involved.
This isn’t the first time Hart has uploaded a picture with a famous NBA torso. Here he is posing with Dwight Howard:
Dwight Howard decided to leave the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason to sign with the Houston Rockets.
"He was never really a Laker," said Jim Buss of Howard. "He was just passing through."
According to those close to Howard, he could have been persuaded to re-sign with the Lakers.
Jeanine Buss believes Howard would have remained with the Lakers if her father...
You know how guys be at the club and after being denied by a woman they are trying to pursue they hit her with the….
“I didn’t want you anyway, you’re ugly.”
I think that pretty much describes these comments by Jim Buss.
“He was never really a Laker,” Jim said to Ric Bucher of The Hollywood Reporter. “He was just passing through.”
Buss' Lakers launch, in futility, "Stay D12" campaign to keep him in Los Angeles. After he moves to the Rockets, Buss says "He was never really a Laker." Makes sense
It's not a shock to any in the NBA community when Dwight Howard's lone season, the 2012-13 campaign, with the Los Angeles Lakers is designated a failure of nearly epic proportions...

It wasn’t much of a secret last season that after losing Dwight Howard, the Orlando Magic were going to be in full-blown rebuilding mode. Their days of being contenders for a Finals spot, or even a playoff position went with Howard to Los Angeles, and though the team made strides toward improvement, with impressive showings from promising young players...
