Earlier Saturday, my pal Jared Zwerling reported that Amar'e Stoudemire will be hitting the gym for the second straight summer with Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon.Such a report has been met with a bevy of sighs and eye rolls from Knicks fans everywhere. Of course, the fact that STAT is looking to improve his game even further is a positive, but staying healthy would undoubtedly be a plus. What good are other developments if Stoudemire cannot stay healthy enough to capitalize on his new skills?Perhaps working out with "The Dream" will also help STAT's conditioning. But as one ponders what will become of the Knicks' $100 million man next season, there's also another Knickerbocker big man worth worrying about.Tyson Chandler was all but non-existen during his team's playoff run this season on both ends of the floor. Slowed be illness and injuries, it's easy to figure Chandler, the former "Defensive Player of the Year," will be able to b...

Knicks Draft Look In: Shane Larkin

Son of MLB Barry Larkin, Shane Larkin has lived in his father’s footsteps his entire life. Now Shane Larkin has the chance to carve out his own professional career in a different sport. Shane has shown everyone at the NBA Draft Combine that he is for real. Lacking in size at 5’11” Shane’s upside might be limited as a starter or a star in the league. However projections and...

New York Knicks – Can Henry Sims Contribute Next Year?

The New York Knicks have extended an invite to center Henry Sims to join their summer league team this summer. While he hasn’t officially joined yet, if the Knicks can get him back in the fold Sims has the size and skill-set to potentially be an intriguing addition to the team’s frontcourt rotation. After a strong showing last pre-season with the Knicks, Sims narrowly missed...

Knicks Draft Look In: Mouhammadou “MAM” Jaiteh PF/C – France

Interesting prospect over in Europe. Mouhammadou Jaiteh or better known as “Mam” is a raw but very talented 18 year old prospect. If you are not familiar with the big man’s name or history, get in line. He has the size and the upside to be a PF/C in the NBA. Although, the question always comes down to the burning desire inside for these young talented prospects. He is a legit...

Knicks Free Agent Look In: Henry Sims

Last year in the summer league and in the Knicks training camp a player emerged as a keeper. Yes, Chris Copeland was that player, but a close 2nd was PF/C Henry Sims of Georgetown. Henry displayed an offensive skill set that I believed at the time was valuable to the Knicks due to Stoudemire’s prone to injury and the uncertainty of his production. The Knicks had one roster spot...

Knicks Draft Look In: Dennis Schroeder

Dennis Schroeder is an interesting cat. From Germany, Dennis is being compared to the likes of Rajon Rondo and Tony Parker. He is 6’2″ 168 pounds  with a 6’7″ wingspan. He has blinding speed to the basket, but is a raw talent. Could the Knicks take him late in the 1st round or will he be gone? Dennis has said to have a guarantee in the middle of the draft, but these rumors...

New York Knicks – Sorting Through Free Agent Options

The New York Knicks don’t have much flexibility this off-season. However, they should still have the ability to add two or maybe even three low cost options who could contribute as rotational pieces. Here is a quick run through of some names that they’ve been associated with and what type of production those players had recently. Guards Aaron Brooks – Sacramento Kings ...

What’s Next For The New York Knicks? 3 Things That Can Be Addressed In The Offseason That Should Help For Next Year

The Knicks were eliminated in game six of the eastern conference semi-finals, thus ending what once looked like a very promising season. Even though they won 54 games through out the course of the season, they were very streaky and retained some glaring flaws going into the postseason. Perhaps they shouldn’t have been the number two seed in the east because they played a little...

Report: Knicks Not Interested In Chris Smith

Though the Knicks hope to re-sign J.R. Smith, they reportedly will not even consider his brother and former Louisville guard, Chris, who played with the team’s summer league squad in Las Vegas last summer and spent the season recovering from a knee injury he suffered in the pre-season. Chris is reportedly expected to play with the Knicks again in this year’s summer league. According...

Report: Knicks Still Want J.R. Smith But Not His Brother Chris Smith

Last week it was reported that J.R. Smith had quietly agreed to re-sign with the New York Knicks at a price of $5 million per season. Reports suggest that a part of that deal was the Knicks doing Smith a small favor by also keeping his younger brother and former Louisville guard Chris Smith on the roster. ESPN New York is now reporting that such a deal in not the case, and even...
