Rumors are out there that Iman Shumpert was cleared for practice as of 1/7 and will do so as soon as possible. This is music to all of our ears. The Knicks will definitely have to take there time with Shump, but his addition to the Knicks roster is a positive one to say the least. The Knicks perimeter defense has been very suspect as of late and when he rounds back into shape he will solidify the back-court. According to Frank Isola of the Daily News. Iman Shumpert is expected to be given clearance to resume practicing on a full-time basis after the second- year guard met with team doctors on Monday. “We’ll see how the tests went,” Mike Woodson said. “He’s getting close, that’s all I can tell you at this point. But I don’t know how the tests turned out.” Shumpert, who had major surgery on his left knee last May, went through a rigorous workout prior to the Knicks-Celtics game under the watchful eye of Knicks orthopedic surgeon Dr. Answorth Allen. After 15 minutes, Allen walked onto the court and slapped hands with Shumpert as if to congratulate him. Once Shumpert is cleared, he could conceivably return anytime within the next two weeks. Kevin Garnett gets under Carmelo Anthony's skin as Celtics beat Knicks (Video)

Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett got under the skin of New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony during the Celtics' 102-96 win over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden Monday night. KG was so successful in doing so that Anthony apparently tried to confront him after the game, both outside the Celtics locker room and outside the Celtics team bus, which could lead to Anthony...

Here to Stay for Wallace and Copeland

For 38 players in the NBA, Monday would have been the most important day for them this season as January 10th marks the day in which all the contracts of players on an NBA team will become guaranteed.  Why was Monday so important than you ask? Because for those players, 5 P.M. ET Monday was when they would be released by so that they can clear waivers by January 9th. The contracts...
HARSHING HIS MELO

Report: Melo waited for Celtics outside locker room

After a heated, physical game, which ended in a Boston victory, the Knicks star sought to continue the action by the Celtics' locker room.

Kevin Garnett to Carmelo Anthony: “Your wife tastes like honey nut cheerios”

Kevin Garnett allegedly trash-talked Carmelo Anthony’s wife Last night after the Boston Celtics victory over the New York Knicks, Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony attempted to confront Celtics forward Kevin Garnett both at the Celtics’ locker-room and the Celtics team-bus. A lot of speculation over what it was about, with a lot of it believing that Carmelo Anthony simply took offense...

New York Knicks Weekly Breakdown: 12/30 – 1/5

What Happened: In the midst of their worst stretch of the season, the Knicks began the week with a home loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. After falling behind by as much as 19 points in the first half, New York’s comeback attempt fell just short when Carmelo Anthony missed what would have been a game-tying three in the waning moments. Carmelo and the Knicks would quickly bounce...

Knicks Interested in K-Mart?

Not sure how accurate this is since the Knicks will guarantee Cope and Sheed. The question is how Sheed’s injury is and will it allow him to get on the floor anytime soon? I believe Sheed’s presence and wisdom is too much for the Knicks to let go at this point. The Knicks are deep enough to get through this stretch without Rasheed, but they definitely miss him on the court....

Move Over Boston, Here Comes the New York Knicks

All Things Come To An End I remember in 1st grade I was bullied by this kid named Orlando. For an entire year Orlando terrorized me by taking my lunch money, pushing me around, even chased me home on the last day of school, but getting pushed around got tired really fast and when 2nd grade began I stood up for myself and let Orlando have it. The big bad bully was no more and that’s...

Sources: Knicks are Considering Adding Kenyon Martin

Carmelo Anthony may have a little more muscle to flex the next time his Knicks square off against Kevin Garnett’s Celtics.  Per RealGM.com (via Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports), the Knicks have expressed interest in free-agent forward Kenyon Martin, who most recently played with the Clippers.  Martin is reportedly open to signing a 10-day contract with the Knicks while...

Carmelo Anthony Has Choice Words For Kevin Garnett

Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett were going back and fourth, to say the least, for most of the second half during Monday night’s matchup at Madison Square Garden, and a double-technical called on them didn’t quite put an end to it. Following Melo’s hard foul on Kevin Garnett, Anthony walks back to the Knicks bench while shouting “F You” to Garnett.

Could Jason Kidd & Kenyon Martin Be Reunited In New York?

Kenyon Martin has been one of my favorite basketball players for a long, long time.  So, when I read a Yahoo Sports report stating that the New York Knicks are considering adding a second highly-charismatic forward in K-Mart to go along with ‘Sheed Wallace, I was excited for two reasons: firstly, Martin was still an explosive, athletic dunker with the Clippers last year, and I...

Carmelo Anthony Waited for Kevin Garnett by the Team Bus (Video)

With nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of the Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks game last night, things got a little heated between Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony.  Both players were given technical fouls and separated by teammates. It was a pretty solid argument, but not something that would earn a punishment from the league. Anthony had a little something bigger...

New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony says he wanted to talk, not fight, with Celtics forward Kevin Garnett .
