Coach Paul Silas is allowing his son, Stephen, to run the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday night against the New Jersey Nets. Stephen Silas is his father's top assistant. This will mark the fifth time he has coached the team this season. Twice he took over after his father was ejected, while he coached the team for games against the Nets on March 9 and Toronto on March 17. Paul Silas said his son is going to be a head coach in the NBA and this will be good experience for him, especially with the Bobcats (7-38) out of playoff contention. Paul Silas said Don Nelson did the same thing with current Sacramento coach Keith Smart, when he was the head coach at Golden State.

Apparently it was not the first time he’s done this but the fifth. [...]

Bobcats Angrily Deny Rumors of Losing 20 Games By 20 Points, Say It’s Only Been 15

After the Bobcats lost to Milwaukee on Saturday, Rick Bonnell wrote that it “was the 20th time in a 7-38 season the Bobcats have lost by 20 or more points.”  Well the joke’s on you, Rick: it’s only been 15 games.  How do you like them apples, sucker?  I actually went back and counted to [...]

Even his comeback with the Wizards from 2001-2003 produced in both the box office (home attendance...
